Description
To support the program with conducting an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and develop the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), for King Kauluma - Omutsegwonime Water Supply Schemes. The assessment study will be conducted in compliance with the Environmental Management Act No 7 of 2007 and conform to international standards, particularly that of the African Development Bank. The consultant will also undertake all steps necessary to support the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform (MAWLR) to register and apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate. The study report will enable the development of measures to ensure the socio-environmental sustainability of the project components are addressed and to avoid, minimize and mitigate the anticipated negative and maximize the positive downstream environmental and social impacts. More details of the scope of work are found in the Terms of Reference.
